What are factors for affecting poor effect of the dryer?



First, incorrect selection of the dryer

Many enterprises has much higher requirement on compressed air weight, while still using refrigeration dryer, its pressure dew point can only reach +10 ℃ at lowest, then it can’t meet gas needs of pneumatic components, so you should use adsorption dryer.


Second, incorrect selection of adsorption dryer

At present market, adsorption dryer has three types: twin towers, modules and modular-units. Twin tower and modules adsorption dryer exists unstable performance due to structural and technical constraints, affecting using gas-side, so you should use modular-units adsorption dryer.


Twin tower adsorption dryer defects: uneven distribution of air flow, there are adsorption dead angle, forming a "tunnel" effect easily, high energy consumption, difficult secondary filling adsorbent, untight adsorbent filling and so on. This is main instability reason of twin tower adsorption dryer.


Module adsorption dryer defects: difficult secondary filling and untight filling resulting in unstable and unabiding operation.


Third, incorrect selection of dryer model

Selecting dryer should pay attention to the actual conditions, such as: intake air temperature, intake air pressure, handling gas capacity and so on.


Fourth, adsorbent should be replaced immediately

Drying effect is the best effects during early use dryer, while long-term use desiccant results in weak adsorption performance of desiccant, adsorbent powder etc. over time, so it should be replaced in time to ensure stability and lasting running of the dryer.


Modular-units dryer adopts inlet and outlet buffer cavity structure, which forms upper and lower convection, distributes gas source reasonably, eliminates adsorption dead angle, improves the uneven airflow distribution of twin tower dryer, and makes adsorbent easy to powder and easily form tunnel effect ; meanwhile solve the defects of second replacement adsorbent of adsorption dryer.
