The reason why effects become much worse when using adsorption dryer



Regeneration principle of adsorption dryer is almost similar, there will be following several aspects, which causes decline of gas quality during using process.


Whether reasonable for selecting 

It's very important to properly select adsorption drying equipment. We must first understand user's needs, and then give corresponding solution if users want to get good air quality and low dew point temperature, so it’s the key to understand working condition of intake air according to intake parameters what user provides (intake pressure, intake air flow, intake air temperature, etc.) and air source processing requirements. Now we make a little analysis about how to select appropriate equipment according to intake Parameters of drying equipment.


Intake pressure effect—dryer’s working pressure of standard design is 0.6-1.0MPa (G), it must  indicate special instructions, if user's intake pressure beyond this range. When intake air flow and temperature is a fixed value if intake pressure is low, then volume flow will increase, water content adsorption will increase per unit time, after that system resistance will increase, effective adsorption time will reduce, adsorption dew point will fluctuates greatly and so on according to conventional equipment selection. making detailed consideration when designing to avoid security failures in terms of safety, If intake pressure is much higher.


Intake air flow—users need accurately know the flow of gas processing before select machine. the drying device will increase pressure drop, shorten effective adsorption time, and affect adsorption effect if post-processing equipment selection is much smaller, energy consumption will be greatly increased due to doesn't debug well during using process if the equipment selection is much larger. In theory, its load is changed throughout the year for same equipment, so regeneration gas amount and regeneration temperature need to be adjusted to maximize energy saving.


Intake air temperature—dryers are often saturated compressed gas, its normal inlet temperature is 2-40 ℃. when intake air temperature is too high (under the same flow and pressure), the adsorption water content will be greatly increased. Saturated air carrying capacity is proportional to temperature, intake air temperature has a great impact on equipment. (alumina, molecular sieve) low temperature adsorption performance is better for adsorption material,  post-processing equipment load is not only increased, and adsorption situation is even worse, it can easily lead complete regeneration when regeneration, and then appear large dew point fluctuations if summer exhaust temperature of air compressor is too high. So a reasonable selection is very important to greatly enhance energy consumption of equipment if you want to ensure regeneration effect, regeneration gas amount and regeneration temperature!


Whether reasonable for using working conditions

Even if post-processing selection is reasonable, the dew point will still be fluctuated, this time you need check whether working conditions of equipment operating are normal, the specific inspection method as follows.


Whether adsorbent material is damaged. Such as air compressor is oil leakage, and  corresponding filter device can not effectively filter out oil and other materials that are detrimental to adsorption material, resulting in oil film on its surface (so-called oil poisoning), thereby reducing or losing adsorption capacity, which will seriously affect dew point temperature.


Whether regenerative air adjustment is reasonable—equipment load varies greatly throughout the year, so unified way will increase energy consumption , its neither economic nor affordable due to natural reasons! it is necessary to adjust the regeneration condition in time when summer load is much larger.


Uniform airflow distribution—it will lead to quality decreasing of the outlet, and compressed air quality can’t be guaranteed if compressed air airflow pass through uneven adsorbent in adsorption tower.


Equipment parts appear malfunction—Such as the valve can not be effective action, leakage and other conditions, which may cause dew point drop phenomenon! Equipment electrical failure not only can not effectively switch tower running and valve action, or cause other related control electrical components failure when machine is running, but also lead to abnormal run, then cause dew point deterioration phenomenon, you must be timely deal with it!
