Current Solving Method&Major Problem for Compressed Air Impurities

First, Filtration

Processing method

Compressed air will be initially treated by filtering particles and impurities, oil droplet, part of liquid water through filter. for traditional cartridge whose bottom is sealed, impurities will be gathered into internal filter. after penetrating into the bottom of filter chamber, impurities are drained out.


Main problem

Solid particles  can not penetrated from the filter cartridge, it can be attached to inner wall of filter element, which will increase air resistance, at the same time penetrating water droplet and oil droplet may be taken away by compressed air again.


Second, refrigeration

Processing method

Mainly use refrigerated dryer to cool the air, then decrease temperature of water content saturation from hot to cold. some water will be condensed into liquid water , and then drained out.


Main problem

The refrigerant evaporation temperature shouldn't be less than 2℃ due to the limit of refrigerated dryer's working principle and structure.  otherwise the pipework will be blocked for freezing, while heat transfer efficiency and water separator efficiency determine that actual dew point of outlet will rarely reach evaporator's settings value. it should increase refrigerant compressor power if you want to get lower dew point, which will not only increase purchasing cost of dryer, but also increase its operation cost. Currently, most of measured dew point is  20~35℃ in practice and it has plenty of liquid water.


Third, adsorption

Processing method

Dryer absorbed water from compressed air in high pressure and desorption and regeneration in low pressure,then recycling by PSA principle of water adsorption characteristics,after that get dried compressed air, general pressure dew point can reach -20℃~-70℃.



Main problem


Currently, the twin towers or a combinational twin tower adsorption dryer is mainly used at domestic market. its major problem is that desiccant is difficult to fill up closely. it is easy to form tunnel effect, leading to substandard performance, and higher energy consumption, it is also difficult to proceed second replacement&filling.
