Current Treatment Methods and Main Issue of Compressed Air Impurities







Compressed air filtration treatment

Filter particulate impurities, oil droplets and some liquid water, and preliminarily treat compressed air. Filter element is sealed at lower end of traditional filter, and impurities are gathered inside of filter element, and then re-penetrate into the bottom of filter chamber through filter element, finally remove by automatic drainer.




Main issue

Solid particles can't penetrate from filter cartridge— it will be attached to inner wall of filter cartridge, increasing resistance of compressed air, and water droplets, oil droplets of infiltration may be taken away again by compressed air.


Compressed air refrigeration drying treatment

Main cooling temperature to high-temperature compressed air via refrigeration dryer, so that saturated water content can drop to from low temperature state to high temperature, part water content will condense into liquid water and discharge through automatic drainage valve.





Main issue

Refrigerant evaporation temperature of refrigeration dryer is not allowed to less than 2 ℃ due to its working principle and structure limit, otherwise it will freeze and clog the pipeline. while heat transfer efficiency and water separation efficiency determines its export dew point can’t reach setting value of the evaporator, it’s bound to increase power of refrigerant compressor, which will not only increase purchase cost of refrigeration dryer, but also increase its operating costs if get a lower dew point, current actual dew point of the most application is between 20℃ ~ 35 ℃, and carry a lot of liquid water.


Compressed air adsorption drying treatment

Using water absorption characteristics of the adsorbent, adsorb water content of compressed air in high pressure, and low-pressure regeneration, then recycling, resulting in dry compressed air, general pressure dew point reach -20° C ~ -70 ° C through principle of pressure swing adsorption.



Main issue

At present, domestic main use twin towers or combinational twin tower adsorption dryer. Main issue is that adsorbent filling isn’t close, and it easy to form tunnel effect (performance doesn’t achieve standard); energy consumption is big, secondary replacement of adsorbent is difficult filling.
