In recent years, with the improvement of industrial automation level, pneumatic components become more and more wide application in various equipments. In the pneumatic transmission system, the general use piston air compressor that output pressure is 0.7 ~ 0.8MPa, it mostly use lubricants. it is generally between 100 ~ 170 ℃ for discharging the compressed air temperature, so that the air Water content and lubricants turn into a gaseous state, and then mixed with the inhalation of dust, forming a mixed impurities of oil gas, water content, dust. these impurities will bring the following adverse effects to gas source and pneumatic system:


1. Oil vapor gathers in the gas storage tank, forming flammable materials, sometimes even the explosive mixture; at the same time, oil content is been vaporization of high temperature, which will form an organic acid, then it has a corrosion for metal equipment;

2. It will reduce the pipeline flow area, increase airflow resistance due to the mixture of oil, water, dust deposited in the pipeline, ;

3. In the frozen season, it will make the pipeline and accessories freeze and damage, or make the air flow is not smooth, or produce a malfunction after condensation of water vapor;

4. Causing the corrosion & rust of metal device in the system , affecting its life;

5. The larger particles impurities will cause serious wear and tear, damage seal, reduction of equipment life, plugging of the pore channel of small control components for the cylinder, motor, valve and other components relative to the surface , directly impacting on component performance, and even control failure.


It can be seen that the compressed air must be treated via purified filtration, setting purification equipment of compressed air to dry and remove water, oil, dust and others.
