Advantage and disadvantage of Diffuser and Diffuser Plate for air Dryer

"Diffuser" and "diffuser plate" came into being to improve the adsorbent of gas direct impact and uneven distribution of gas and fluid during operation.


Diffuse Orifice: just like "Shower head", to a certain extent, Diffusion orifice improve the phenomenon of uneven distribution of air flow , while closely orifice plate will increase the pressure drop of compressed air, and too thin orifice design, it’s very limited to uniform distribute air flow and eliminate dead ends, finally compressed air will form a "ditch short-circuit" phenomenon and the new "tunnel."


Diffuser: just like "silencer", it play a role in dispersion buffer for air into absorption dryer, but can not solve the problem of uneven distribution of air flow.


At the same time, it increase the resistance of compressed air to form pressure drop, then hinder regeneration via rapidly drain because of the existence of the diffuser (diffuser orifice).
