The Most Common Problems &Solutions of Adsorption Dryer!



It is a very important part that adsorption dryer’s purification process as a compressed air, which is directly related to the quality of compressed air whether operate normally and operate well , so companies should pay attention to minor problems about the adsorption dryer in the process of the operation , enterprises should regularly check the equipment to ensure the normal &efficient operation of the equipment, should promptly report to the manufacturers to repair in case problems can not be timely resolved .


Firstly, observe the operation of the dryer, whether each controller is corresponding to the relevant action of each solenoid valve and pneumatic valve, adsorption dryer has been kept full pressure state within adsorption chamber , then dry air will have a regeneration process enter into the regeneration cavity.




Adsorption stage

Wet compressed air from the inlet into the intake air buffer cavity through each modular unit adsorption cavity from bottom to top ; internal molecular sieve using its own capillary action to absorb the compressed air moisture, then achieve dry effect.




Regeneration stage

Micro-heating regeneration, the regenerated dry air enters regeneration group outlet air flow chamber through regenerated air flow regulating valve. it will purge for regeneration group molecular sieve from top to bottom after the high temperature dry gas is expanded and decompressed to atmospheric pressure within modular unit adsorption cavity of regenerating group, absorbent will speed up the separation body water with adsorbent and analyze in dry air, which discharges together regeneration gas from the muffler .






Only by a comprehensive understanding of the work process of the desiccant dryer, will you be able to more easily deal with the emergence of various problems.


Pressure show abnormal

1. The pressure sensor is damaged

Resolution: Replace the new pressure sensor.

2. The solenoid valve group is leaked or blocked

Resolution: clean the solenoid valve seat and silencer, it need to replace if damaged.

3. Air tube is blocked or broken

Resolution: check whether ventilation of the air tube is normal, it may need replace if unusual.

4. Valve seat pressure plate is off or damaged

Resolution: check or even replace if necessary.

5. Air cylinder is damaged

Resolution: check whether the air cylinder action is normal, or need to replace if necessary.

6. one-way valve flexibility of spring is inactivation

Resolution: replace the spring

7. Muffler of solenoid valve is blocked

Resolution: disassemble and clean the muffler, it need to replace immediately if have a serious blockage or damage.

8. Regeneration air flow is too large

Resolution: reduce opening and closing degree (regeneration air flow) on regulating valve (Note: control valve of regeneration air flow must ensure the same degree of opening and closing ) one-way valve, intake valve need to replace if necessary.


The controller program work abnormally

1. The controller is damaged

Resolution: it need be replaced immediately if the controller is damaged when detection.


Gas contains a small amount of moisture after drying

1. Matching handling flow of air compressor is too high or oil content is too high

Resolution: checking whether the air compressor work is normal.

2. The inside of gas main pipeline appear a large number of rust, block muffler valve

Resolution: internal rust of pipeline &air storage tank need to drain and purge cleanly, clean the soiling of muffler at lower end.


Dew point is too high

1. Intake air quality does not meet the specified standard

Solution: adjust the intake pressure and temperature.

2. Regeneration gas capacity is too small

Solution: regulate the regeneration gas valve (ensure that the two groups is the same degree of opening & closing), or contact biteman’s staff of after-sales service.

3. Pipeline

Solution: whether the bypass valve is closed, whether gas after drying is connected with other pipeline gas.


Accidental shutdown

1. Automatic power off

Analysis: circuit overload

Solution: check the circuit and replace components of short circuit.

2. Shutdown of low pressure

Analysis: the intake air pressure is too low.

Solution: adjust the intake air pressure to the specified standard.

3. High temperature power off

Analysis: circuit connection of temperature control module is abnormal, solid state relay or working abnormality of temperature probe.

Solution: check circuit connection of temperature control module, solid state relay and temperature probe, immediately replacing if there are abnormal or damaged.
