Faults & Effective Elimination Method of Adsorption Dryers

Adsorption dryer use the characteristics of absorbing moisture of adsorbent (activated alumina, silica gel, molecular sieve) to reduce water content of compressed air. in general, it can make pressure dew point of outlet end reach -40 ℃ above. however, equipment will cause some malfunctions for various reasons, resulting in it can not operate properly, or pressure dew point does not meet corresponding standard in many cases. what are failures for adsorption dryer? what is effective exclusion method?

First, adsorption dryer doesn’t work when press the switch

	Reason	Solution
1	No current input	Cheak power supply
2	Switch failure	Replace swith
3	Circuit breaker isn’t close	Close circuit breaker
4	Program controller failure or lose program	Contact manufacturer
5	Wiring fall off or virtual connection of      program	Reconnect wire

Second, slightly higher dew point

	Reason	Solution
1	Compressed air capacity exceeds maximum	Replace larger capacity specifications
2	Adsorbent exceeds service life	Replace adsorbent
3	Adsorbent is contaminated	Replace adsorbent after cheaking    front filter
4	Too low intake pressureor too high intake  temperature	Increase intake pressure or reduce  intake temperature
5	Too small regeneration gas amount	Increase regeneration gas amount
6	Too low regenerative gas temperature	Re-set heating temperature

Third, ram-type doesn’t reach work pressure

	Reason	Solution
1	Regeneration valve doesn’t close tightly	Check regeneration valve and solenoid valve
2	Short stamping time	Modify time and contact manufacturer
3	Regeneration one way valve can’t open	Replace one way valve

Fourth, the operation silencer has large exhaust when operation

	Reason	Solution
1	Changeover valve failure	Replace changeover valve
2	Intake solenoid valve failure	Replace solenoid valve
3	Output program of controller is incorrect or hardware problem	Replace spare parts or contact       manufacturer
4	One way valve is stuck or malfunctioning by foreign matter	Maintain or replace
5	Too big regeneration gas	Turn down regeneration gas valve

Fifth, a large number of drainage for silencers when running

	Reason	Solution
1	Front filter is poorly drained	Clear drainer or replace
2	Regeneration gas is too small	Increase regeneration gas amount
3	Too low Regeneration gas temperature	Turn up generation temperature

Six, The device is large pressure drop when running

	Reason	Solution
1	Filter cartridge is blocked	Replace filter cartridge
2	Equipment has leak phenomenon	Eliminate leakage
